Albert Jongewaard
Senior Development Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Albert Jongewaard is the Senior Project Development Manager for Columbia Wind. Albert will be the lead Apex Clean Energy representative on the ground and will oversee the development process while working with the team and broader community, to help answer questions and make this project a reality. Albert began his career working on political campaigns in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Mississippi, and Alabama. In 2010, Albert left the campaign trail to represent the Alabama Gulf Coast communities of Dauphin Island and Bayou La Batre during the height of the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. He continued in this role and oversaw multiple economic development initiatives and issue campaigns in Alabama before joining Apex Clean Energy in November 2016. In his time with Apex, Albert has worked on clean wind energy projects in Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio and South Dakota.


Jake Sexton
Development Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Jake Sexton is a Development Manager for Columbia Wind along with other projects in Minnesota and Wisconsin. As a lifelong Minnesotan, Jake enjoys working in midwestern communities and is passionate about developing energy projects in the part of the county he calls home. He believes that renewable energy, with its powerful economic benefits to rural landowners and communities, along with its ability to produce reliable, American-made energy that’s pollution-free, offers an incredible opportunity for greater collaboration across demographic and political lines.

Jared Hershberger
Public Engagement Manager, Apex Clean Energy

Jared Hershberger is the Public Engagement Manager for Coyote Willow Wind. Jared assisted his grandfather on his farm until he graduated high school. After college, Jared spent much of his career doing rural outreach and constituent services for a congressman in Iowa and currently resides in Burlington.

Bethann Lesnick
Land Acquisition Specialist, JCG Land Services

Bethann Lesnick is a Land Acquisition Specialist for JCG Land Services. Her background in contract management, accounting, and real estate provides the foundation that ensures participants understand the project and what it means for their land and their community. In her free time, Bethann enjoys exploring the outdoors and restoring her American Four-Square home.
