INTRODUCING COLUMBIA WIND
The Columbia Wind project provides an opportunity to help address Wisconsin's growing electricity demand with homegrown energy, while diversifying Columbia County's economy and supporting jobs in the local community.
Columbia Wind will create jobs and generate an entirely new source of long-term revenue for local schools, governments, and landowners. In the long term, the project promises to bring sustained tax revenue to the county for the local government and schools, as well as more than 30 years of local purchasing, employment, and investment.

AN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR COLUMBIA COUNTY
Columbia Wind will create jobs and generate an entirely new source of long-term revenue for Columbia County, local government services, and property owners. The total direct financial impact to the region will be in the millions of dollars over the life of the project, with additional indirect economic benefits to the local economy.
Landowners who sign up property for the project will receive annual payments. These payments will continue over the projected 30-year lifespan of the wind farm, injecting tens of millions of dollars into the economy to support local businesses, contractors, equipment suppliers, auto dealers, and others. In addition, the power from Columbia Wind will be delivered into the Wisconsin electrical grid, reducing the need to import electricity from outside markets.
